With the delicious apples, why not make an apple pie. This dutch apple pie recipe is so easy, and SOOO good.

Crust 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 stick of butter
1/4 cup of cold water

Instructions: Mix 1 cup of flour and salt. Blend in butter until butter is speckled throughout & you can still see and feel the butter particles. Sprinkle in cold water a little at a time. Gather pastry into a ball, flatten slightly on flour-covered surface, cover with plastic wrap and toss in the refrigerator for 45 minutes.

Fillling
8 cups sliced and peeled applesVE $
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Topping
1/2 cup butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 T. sugar
More Instructions:
- Heat oven to 400°F. Roll pastry dough to overstretch standard pie plate. Cut the remaining dough off the edges. Do not stretch pastry too thin. Grab a fork and press the fork into the crust.
- Toss Filling ingredients from above and pour into pie plate.
- Use mixer to make the crumble topping. Sprinkle evenly over apples, don't forget to top with a sprinkle of sugar.
-BAKE for 45-55 minutes, until crumble topping browns briefly and apple insides begin to bubble.
- Cool, then serve with ice cream, Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream like we did.
**I used the Honeycrisp apples for this pie, though rumor has it (aka The Fruit Truck's famous Grandma Penny) Gala apples are much better for baking.
